The Team
Our Artists
Four distinct perspectives, united by a shared commitment to craft. Every artist at Iron & Ink was chosen for their unique vision and relentless dedication to the art form.
@maravoss.ink
Owner / Lead Artist
Mara Voss
Fine arts graduate from RISD, Mara spent three years apprenticing under master tattoo artist Hiroshi Tanaka in Tokyo, learning traditional tebori and irezumi techniques. She opened Iron & Ink in 2015 with a mission to elevate tattoo art to gallery-level craftsmanship. Her Japanese work draws from centuries of tradition while her blackwork pushes into bold, contemporary territory.

@jude.geo
Senior Artist
Jude Calloway
Before picking up a tattoo machine, Jude spent five years as an architect. His background in structural design translates into impossibly precise geometric work — sacred geometry, mandalas, and patterns that seem to pulse with mathematical energy. His dotwork is meditative to watch and mesmerizing to wear.

@ren.fineline
Artist
Ren Akiyama
Trained in Seoul's thriving underground tattoo scene, Ren brings a delicate, almost calligraphic sensibility to their work. Specializing in fine line and botanical illustration, Ren creates pieces that feel like whispered poems on skin — intricate, intimate, and impossibly detailed.

@tomas.ornamental
Apprentice / Junior Artist
Tomás Rivera
Austin born and raised, Tomás came to Iron & Ink as a street artist whose bold murals caught Mara's eye. Now apprenticing under the team, he's developing a distinctive ornamental blackwork style that blends Mesoamerican motifs with contemporary graphic design. Watch this space.

How We Work
Consultation First
Every piece starts with a conversation. We spend time understanding your vision, your story, and what this tattoo means to you before any ink touches skin.
Custom Only
We don't do flash. Every design is created from scratch, tailored to your body, your aesthetic, and your narrative. No two pieces are ever the same.
Craft Over Speed
Great tattoos take time. We never rush a session and we never compromise on quality. Your piece will be worth every minute.
